Sawadee Kha,welcome to the land of happy smiling faces.Guess where I have been all the time, while you were missing me?Thailand it is,my second time but I feel like I hadn't known Thailand until now. While Thai Curry has also been my favorite,it was no less than a surprise that red, green and yellow curry are not the only choice we have like what we are used to believe in India. It was an alternative way of travelling Thailand.Thailand which is not Pattaya or Phuket and I am glad it wasn't Pattaya and Phuket. It is what Thailand really is.Into the most basic "Land of massive temples, kick boxing, waterfalls, cooking Thai Food, staying in a river camp, cycling and offering food to the monks, and of course shopping!".It was an year end soul cleanse in December with colors, cultures, history and adventures in Thailand.
"Sometimes its strange and you may not understand us.But the Thai people,we can smile and laugh all the time.Sometimes we know it's bad behavior to laugh at something but its our nature to always laugh before whatever has happened.Like when you see the kid's fall under,we laugh first but we know.Because we believe when you laugh the crisis is getting better.Because we also believe if a kid fall and you scream they will stop and they will cry and they might think it's a serious thing they have to cry.But if you smile, they feel ok "its not that bad,I should not cry" they get stunned a little bit and then they laugh - Says Poom, happily smiling with enthusiasm.
Here's a quick photo essay before we discuss about visas, where to stay, how to plan, travel video and etc in the upcoming Blogpost. And if you have been to Thailand, you have to share a story.I am sure, for those just back from Pattaya, the stories are going to be strange, sweet or wild(You know what I mean!) but if you haven't explored Thailand as we did,you are missing the real Thailand the way It is supposed to be explored ;)
The longest place name in the world is the full name of Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand: Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit. It means “City of Angels, Great City of Immortals, Magnificent City of the Nine Gems, Seat of the King, City of Royal Palaces, Home of Gods Incarnate, Erected by Visvakarman at Indra’s Behest.”

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time. I have lived here almost eight years ...my adopted home.
Let me know when you return, I will be happy to show you some "unseen" places,
No doubt Thai food in Thailand is out of this world. Even if you're a vegetarian there street food is a must try.
